Therapy for polyamorous, open, and kinky people

Telehealth across Ohio and Colorado.

Your relationships are your life, not a case study. You shouldn't have to spend the first month of therapy establishing that non-monogamy isn't the problem, or watching someone quietly decide it is.

What's different here

I won't treat how you do relationships as a symptom. If you're polyamorous, open, in a hierarchy or deliberately not, solo, kinky, or some arrangement you built yourself because nothing off the shelf fit, we work with it the way any therapist would work with any relationship. What's happening, what you want, what's in the way.

That means the ordinary things are available. Jealousy that's telling you something worth listening to. A metamour situation that's grinding on you. Scheduling that's turned into resentment. A breakup that nobody in your life treats as a real loss. Wanting to open something up when your partner doesn't, or the reverse. Kink that's working, or kink that's touching something you'd rather understand than avoid.

The part people usually mean

Most people arriving here have had at least one experience of a therapist who was technically fine about it and subtly not. The extra beat before responding. The framing that kept circling back to whether the structure was the issue. The sense that you were being tolerated. You end up managing the room instead of using it.

I'm poly myself. I'm not going to be surprised, and I'm not going to be scandalized.

Individually, or together

I work with people one-on-one, and I work with partners.

If you're coming together, nobody has to be the designated problem.

If you're coming to therapy as an individual, that has its own value. You get a space that's only yours, and where working on your own patterns often shifts a whole system more than a joint session would.

Practical: 60-minute telehealth sessions, Ohio and Colorado. Sliding scale. English or Spanish.
