Who I work with
The people I do my best work with share an orientation more than a diagnosis. They believe change is possible, and they keep showing up for it on the days it's hard. They want to work inside a relationship, not have a solution handed to them. They trust the body has its own capacity to heal, or they're willing to build that trust. Some arrive having already done years of their own work. Those drawn to psychedelics tend to understand the medicine as something that moves alongside the relationship, not in place of it.
Some of the clients I work with have spent years understanding themselves. Others are here to move through something for the first time. Either way, the pattern they came in with has been slow to actually shift, and that gap between knowing and living the change is where the work happens.
A few of the people I work with:
You're a therapist, or you do this kind of work for a living. You're good at making room for everyone else and you go quiet when it's your turn to take up space. Naming a pattern is the easy part; you do it all day. Living differently inside your own is the part that's stayed hard.
You're running on 15 or 20 percent and calling it fine. You know you're supposed to rest, but you're not actually sure what rest is anymore, or how to get back to full without something breaking first.
You're kinky, polyamorous, non-monogamous, or still working out where you land, and you want somewhere to work on your relationships without being judged or treated like a monogamous setup is the default.
You're trans, and you're tired of explaining what that's like before you can get to anything else. Maybe you're early on and want a steady place to think it through. Maybe you're further in and ready to go deeper into your relationship with yourself, into the parts you haven't been able to reach alone.
What people bring here:
- Trauma that's still showing up in your body and your closest relationships long after it should be "over," whether it came from one event or from years of them.
- Anxiety or depression that hasn't lifted, even after you've done everything that's supposed to help.
- A relationship with substances you want to look at honestly, at a pace that's real, without quitting being the price of admission.
- Years of recovery behind you, and the sense that there's deeper work still to do.
- The ongoing work of living into your gender or sexuality, with someone who already gets the basics.
- Desire and relationships that don't fit the monogamous template, held without being treated as a problem.
- An ADHD mind you're done fighting and want to work with instead.
- Grief, a life that's changed shape, and the questions that surface when an old way of living stops fitting.
